Greetings Habitat Family and Friends,

It’s been another week and all over the world we are slowly beginning to put our lives back together. Although COVID-19 cases are still being discovered, and according to media, another round anticipated in the coming months, we are yet pressing in to find normalcy. We may never go back to what we knew as normal, so focusing on a new normal, a new us… becomes vital.

What does “new” really mean? New means, not existing before; made, introduced, or discovered recently or now for the first time. For us it will mean a fresh start and continued social distancing. It also means we will be living with COVID-19 in our societies, unlike before. Businesses, restaurants, gyms, beauty salons and churches will all eventually re-open, but the new normal will dictate how business will now be conducted. As we look toward the new… this scripture comes to mind:

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”  (2 Corinthians 5:17)

Not only will life around us be “new,” but TODAY… We are new in Christ. Let us walk in the new.

Prayer:

May we forever remain thankful for the new and receive with great gratitude, the grace that comes along with it. May we continue to see new healing, restoration, protection, wisdom and strength. May our “new” always shine brightly like the new day’s sun, but not blind us from the next new mercy, which comes to us all… daily.

Blessings be upon you and yours…

What are you thankful for today?
