Gregory Roberson is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. His kind and generous nature draws people to him and his genuine character causes people to call him friend. Gregory is just the type of guy who you would expect to be a great father and he has had custody of his 9 year old daughter since she was 2 months old. As a matter of fact, it was his love for his daughter and her well-being, which brought him to Habitat for Humanity of Madison County.
He first learned about Habitat when he moved to Huntsville in 2012. After gathering information about our program, he decided to apply. Gregory applied not once, not twice, but three times before he was finally approved. Gregory believes God’s timing is perfect and he was ready.
He excelled in the process and in February 2019, Gregory and his daughter moved into their Habitat home. Gregory is a true testament that you can’t give up on yourself or the process it takes to achieve the future you desire.
Gregory says, “I have worked alongside Habitat staff and volunteers, and I have truly grown to love the people at Habitat. It is my prayer that our community will come together and help Habitat continue to do what they do.”

Habitat for Humanity of Madison County is an ecumenical, grassroots Christian housing ministry that seeks to eliminate poverty housing from our community, and make a decent shelter a matter of conscience and action.
